
Danny Pettway
Vice President, Mixed-Use Construction
Danny Pettway joined HRP in 2023 as a Vice President of Mixed-Use Construction to manage local construction efforts for the redevelopment of the former Potomac River Generating Station site in Alexandria, Virginia. This 2.5 million square foot mixed-use development will include residential, office, retail, and cultural space on 19 acres overlooking the Potomac River. Danny’s responsibilities include pre-construction management, overseeing general contractors and working with the architecture and engineering teams to develop the project’s design documentation.
Danny has over 14 years experience in commercial real estate development and construction in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Most recently at Akridge, he was responsible for pre-development and early stage construction efforts for a portion of The Stacks – Phase I, a 1.2 million square foot development in the Buzzard Point neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Among other projects, he successfully delivered 2100 L Street and the associated restoration of the adjacent, historic Stevens School. Prior to Akridge, Danny spent time at both Whiting-Turner and Clark Construction where he held a full range of construction management responsibilities for more than 1 million square feet of residential, office, hospitality, and other mixed-use projects.
Danny earned a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University.
