George Toth
Vice President, Refinery Operations | Philadelphia
George Toth joined HRP as Vice President - Refinery Operations in June 2020 when HRP acquired the Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery site. In his role, Mr. Toth will manage, lead, and collaborate with the project team to ensure that the facility is operated in a safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant manner. Mr. Toth also will provide oversight and guidance to the planning and execution of the decommissioning and demolition of the refinery to safely transition into the development phase of the project.
Mr. Toth has over twenty-five years of refinery operations experience with extensive knowledge in all aspects of refining. Prior to joining HRP, Mr. Toth served in various key operations leadership positions in the Philadelphia Refinery where he managed maintenance prioritization and planning, turnaround planning and execution, operating budget, operations shift organization and numerous large capital projects for multiple operating areas. His most recent role was the Operations Manager where he oversaw the operations, safety, and maintenance organizations. Mr. Toth is also on the USW Operating Committee, providing site labor support and continuity on behalf of the constituent parties’ interests.
Mr. Toth’s certifications include Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, EPA Visible Emissions, Boiler Burner Management, Root Cause Failure Analysis, with Advanced Training Certifications in various key technologies in the refinery.
