
John Flaherty

John Flaherty joined HRP in 2022 as a Director of Mixed-Use Development where he is primarily focused on the 776 Summer Street redevelopment project in South Boston, Massachusetts. John’s responsibilities span a range of development activities including master plan design team management, approvals and permitting, project budgeting and forecasting, merchandising and placemaking, resiliency planning and design, as well as site and landscape design.
Prior to joining Hilco, John worked as a Development Manager at Federal Realty Investment Trust where he was focused on Phase 3 of the Assembly Row mixed-use neighborhood in Somerville, Massachusetts. John led project teams in the development of a 500-unit apartment building and a 300,000 square foot office building. He previously held positions in the Finance and Capital Markets group at Boston Properties focused on acquisitions, disposition, and financings across the firm’s major markets. He received his BA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
