
Siobhan Steen

Siobhan Steen joined HRP as a Director of Mixed-Use Development in 2022 where she is focused on the redevelopment of the former Potomac River Generating Station site in Alexandria, Virginia, a transformation of a former coal-fired power plant into a vibrant mixed-use community of residential, office, retail, and cultural space overlooking the Potomac. Siobhan is responsible for management of the vertical design process, including product development, design team management, design review approvals and permitting, construction team coordination, and budget management and reporting.
Siobhan is a licensed architect with over a decade of experience at architecture firms in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Most recently at Hickok Cole Architects, she managed the design of four buildings totaling 660,000 square feet in North Potomac Yard adjacent to the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus. Siobhan led multiple design and consultant teams through concurrent design, entitlement, permitting, and construction processes. This effort included core and shell architecture services for 3 commercial office buildings and a sanitary pumping station. Siobhan has also served as project architect with a specialization in Contract Administration on several commercial office repositionings in downtown Washington, D.C.
Siobhan holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Catholic University. She is an active member of the American Institute of Architects in Washington, D.C., and a Guest Lecturer at the University of Maryland teaching Design Thinking and Architecture.
