Alex Smiley joined HRP in March 2019 and currently serves as Director of Communications, based in their Chicago office.
Alex’s role has evolved throughout her time at HRP, starting on the development team and in 2021 finding her niche in supporting the company's communications and branding efforts. Alex works as a member of the Corporate Affairs team managing message development, corporate reputation management, content creation, and branding strategy efforts across the company’s portfolio. In her role, Alex strives to support HRP’s commitment to transparency and best practices by bridging the gap between robust data and clear messaging about HRP’s holistic approach to redevelopment centered around environmental, economic, and community sustainability.
Alex graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Environmental Studies and Community & International Development. She has a diverse working background ranging from the non-profit sector to real estate to land management.
